On Saturday, February 3, 2018, MSU Extension and the Alger County Community Collaborative partnered to offer a fun and informative free Winter Family Event to encourage healthy outdoor fun! Held from 6-8 pm at Hiawatha National Forest’s Valley Spur Day Lodge and Trails, the event included a candlelight snow shoe hikes, healthful snacks, a campfire and more! This National Drug and Alcohol Awareness Week event was made possible by a 4H Healthy Habits Grant.
