Hans EriksenHans Ericksen, Coordinator — Hans is a proud Alger County resident, husband and parent. He has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years providing direct care and advocacy for both youth and adults and is excited to be the new AC3 Coordinator.

Our Work Groups get things done! Because we know our volunteers are busy people, a call-in option is available to make it easy for you to attend any Work Group meeting. To join a work group or for more information, email us at algercountyctc@gmail.com or email the Chair Leader of the group.

Funding Work Group

Meets: 11 am – 12 pm on 4th Tuesday of every month* in the APRD Conference Room
Roles:

    • Identify community resources
    • Identify funding resources
    • Develop a long-term funding plan
    • Identify and communicate with potential funders
    • Write grant proposals

Communications Work Group

Meets: 10:00 am – 11:00 am on 2nd Thursday of every month* in the APRD Conference Room
Roles:

    • Maintain contact with Stakeholders
    • Identify opportunities to involve and educate the community
    • Work with all media outlets
    • Identify opportunities to celebrate success
    • Develop and maintain a list for the Community Assessment Report

Resource Assessment & Evaluation  Work Group

Chair Leader: Lorri Redmon (email: lredmon <at> amcab.org)
Meets: 12 pm – 1pm on 2nd Tuesday of every month* in the APRD Conference Room
Roles:

    • Develop an inventory of existing community programs
    • Create a list of local resources
    • Assess existing resources
    • Identify gaps
    • Design and plan an evaluation of the Community Action Plan

Adult Needs Work Group

Meets: 9:00 am – 10:00 am on 1st Thursday of every month* in the APRD Conference Room
Roles:

    • Identify Existing Adult Groups
    • Recruit Members from Varied Adult Services Groups
    • Identify Gaps in Service Needs
    • Identify Opportunities for Increased Community Inclusion
    • Suicide Prevention efforts

Youth Involvement Work Group

Meets: 1 pm – 2 pm on 3rd Wednesday of every month* in the APRD Conference Room
Roles:

    • Identify existing youth groups
    • Recruit youth to serve on the Community Board
    • Involve youth in other work-group activities
    • Coordinate skill involvement and youth recognition

Maintenance Work Group

Chair Leader: Sandy Ehlert (email: sandyirish52 <at> gmail.com)
Meets: 10:00 am – 11:00 am on 1st Monday of every month* in the APRD Conference Room
Roles:

    • Finalize the Community Board Organizational Structure
    • Establish communication and reporting protocols
    • Establish by-laws and operating procedures
    • Coordinate legal and fiscal status
    • Develop process for recruiting and educating new board members

Resource Data Work Group

Chair Leader: Linda Remsburg, (email: lremsburg <at> glcyd.org)

Meets: 8 am – 9 am on the 4th Wednesday of every month* in the APRD Conference Room

Roles: 

    • Facilitate the CTC Youth Survey
    • Collect risk and protective factor data
    • Analyze data
    • Create a list of priority risk and protective factors
    • Reassess risk, protection and outcomes
